There's a possibilty some people may be getting PMs and not knowing it. Just to make sure everyone is getting some kind of notification when they receive a PM, I'd like to ask you all to do the following:
- Up the top of the forum is a row of tabs. Click on the one that says "My profile"
- On the left hand side of your profile page, you will see three boxes. The bottom one is all about Private Messaging. In that box, click "Inbox"
- At the bottom of your "Inbox" page, you will see "Settings". Please click on that.
Here you can choose whether to:
- Receive an email notification whenever a new private message lands in your inbox
- Only receive an email notification of new PMs if you aren't online
- Never receive email notifications when you get PMs
You can also tick a box which generates a pop up when you get a new PM.
Around two weeks ago, option 1. was set as the default setting for new users. However, theres a chance users who signed up prior to this may not have any form of notification selected. I've yet to see the pop up notification work, so I highly recommend selecting the first box labeled "
E-mail notification of new messages".
